GRAPHIC DESIGN
Asahi case study
The first aspect of this project was to come up with the individual ideas. I decided that I needed to take pictures of some products, so I would be able to implement them in my concepts. My choice was Pilsner and Birell, beers with a strong presence in the Czech culture, targeting different demography.
In the creation process I used my personal photo gear and variety of programs to complete different tasks, including:
•Illustrator for the illustrations,
•Photoshop to be able to compose everything together,
•Autodesk Maya to create the 3d models and render the animation,
•Davinci Resolve to edit the video and create the stop motion animation.
Different iterations for the labels
A summer campaign needed various labels, using bright colours, different graphics, I concepted four labels representing different styles.
Asahi is a Japanese company, so I decided to experiment some Japanese art work too.
Different iterations for the labels rendered in 3d
Once the labels were designed in photoshop, using many different styles, references and concepts, it was time to bring them to Autodesk Maya so I could create renders with the different labels to showcase how the cans could look in real life.
PILSNER POSTERS
Another aspect of the summer campaign was to create some nice posters for Pilsner, I created four different styles, using iconic colours and font that distinguise Pilsner
ILLUSTRATIONS FOR THE LABELS AND POSTERS
Using my photography skills to take pictures of iconic landscapes from Prague, I was able to use those pictures as references to create illustrations in Adobe Illustrator, trying different styles I was able to experiment and have a final illustration which I was happy to use in the labels.
BEHIND THE SCENES
Once again, using my photography skills and my photography gear, I was able to take pictures of various products with different lighting style, this way I was able to experiment and have the cans or bottles under different lights, this gave me the flexibility to use these products in different posters or labels.
experiments
I was able to experiment with different ideas aswell, this game me different concepts which in theory I could develop further if this was needed.
